Regional Coordinator Chedley Aouriri (Oregon) was our delegate at the annual Conference of Tunisian experts, academics and professionals working outside of Tunisia.

He reported that the meeting that took place in Tunis on July 26, 2007 and was organized by TATC (Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation), was led by several Tunisian ministers and high-level government officials who made an exhaustive presentation of Tunisia's progress and current needs in higher education, engineering and science.

Tunisian Americans living in California's South Bay area now have their own Chapter.

"Yalla, VOTE!" is a non-partisan voter education program of The Arab American Institute. It will be launched at the Institute's National Leadership Conference that will take place on October 26-28, 2007 in Dearborn, MI.

Regional Coordinator, Bechir Boubaker (Michigan), will be the Tunisian Community Center's delegate at the 3 day conference.

A series of great programs are lined up during that special weekend, including training workshops, luncheon forums and appearances by presidential candidates.
