A bistro style restaurant and wine bar almost tucked away too well behind the Whole Foods Shopping Center off on Rt 7 near the entrance to Rt 66. The discrete location is not inhibiting business. Went for an early dinner on Saturday night and by the time we left there was a line waiting for seating.
The architecture is unusual consisting of two sections separated by a knee wall with a vertical drop of three feet to the left hand side. In other words, voyeurs stay to the right. The hostess pegged us as more the exhibitionists and sent us to the left. The seating is a bit strange with a row of tables along the wall all sharing a single undivided bench for seating. To make space for us the hostess actually picked up the table of the couple next us while they were eating and moved it a foot to the left. Fortunately they were not in the process of setting their drinks down at the time.
The food was excellent. I selected the seared Tuna fillet in a wasabi sauce for an entree and with memories of Tabaq still strong started off with the scallop appetizer. Their real strength is the extensive wine by the glass list at reasonable prices.
